About This Retreat.
ACCESS: A SONGWRITING RETREAT WITH YOUR SPOUSE!
Seriously! Have you ever heard of such a thing?
1. Do you just need to get away and be pampered
somewhere awesome with your honey baby?
2. When you are in that awesome place, would you like to rest, unwind, be inspired, create together, and grow in your relationship with God and each other? Can you imagine spending quality time worshiping Jesus, songwriting, sharing your love for music together, and indulging in delicious food and drinks?
3. Sound like something you’re interested in? Let’s do this!
Join us for a 3-night retreat from October 13th to 16th, 2024, at the beautiful Barnard family farm in Dripping Springs, Texas, just outside of Austin. The two prerequisites on this Access Retreat are: You need to be married and a songwriter. Or at least interested in songwriting :) We are limiting this gathering to just 12 couples. Yep. Just 12. Each couple will have their own cozy cabin and private space. Our facilitator, Jesse Reeves, will lead our time together. If you haven’t heard that name, maybe you’ve heard of a few song titles like: "How Great is Our God," "Lord, I Need You," “I Speak Jesus,” “Our God Is Greater,” and more - but more importantly Jesse has been a pastor to our family for years. He is gifted and humble. Yes and amen.
Other special guests at this ACCESS retreat will be Britton and Carrie Hardcastle. Britton and Carrie are just amazing!! They have been leading worship and writing songs for 17 years and they have been faithful worship leaders in the local church. Britton and Carrie are incredibly gifted, but their willingness to serve is what makes them so special.
I will also pop in at this ACCESS retreat. My name is Shane Barnard. It is my pleasure and passion to write and sing songs from God’s Word. There is always a good chance I’ll bring one or more of my ladies with me to share in a time of singing together!
This will be the 4th ACCESS retreat we have done down on the farm. They have been so special. We can’t wait to be with you all!

* Two of our properties are more like homes than cabins. They are awesome. They will be able to facilitate 2 couples each. You will still get your own bedroom and bathroom, but there will be other shared space in the home. If you are coming with buddies feel free to request these!
About Access.
ACCESS TO YOUR SPOUSE
That may sound funny, and yet, we all know how hard it is these days to find extended time alone together. We are going to have intentional time corporately, but a big part of this retreat is to have set-apart ACCESS to your spouse. To have your marriage renewed and refreshed through time alone together where you get to just REST. You will get your own TX Hill Country cabin, stocked with goodies and gifts for the week!

ACCESS TO THE FARM
You'll have full access to Wanderin' Star Farms, a place that has been in our family for a couple of decades. God has used this place in the most incredible ways to help us see and savor Him. Hidden among 30 acres of Texas Hill Country oaks and cliffs, access to the farm includes nature trails, horseback riding, giant swings, mini donkeys and gardens - all hosted by our incredible Wanderin’ Star Farms team.

Our hope is that having access to all these things above would be a means to an end... Who is Christ. That we would have a deeper awareness of our access to the King of kings; not just on retreats, but always.
